9 Mon. - 13 Fri., Open Enrollment – The School for Young Children at Saint Joseph College, located at 238 Steele Road in West Hartford, CT, a nationally-accredited preschool, is accepting applications for Fall 2010. Children must be 3 years old by January 1, 2010 and toilet trained in order to be eligible. Please include a $50.00 application fee, payable to Saint Joseph College, with all new student applications. 10 Tues., "Women in Scripture"- Sister Kathleen Dorney, CND, Director of Campus Ministry, will lead a discussion on "Women in Scripture" at noon in the Faculty Dining Room. 12 Mon., Blue Jay-for-a-Day - High school seniors: Discover what it feels like to be a Saint Joseph College student! Attend class taught by SJC professors and join current students for lunch in McGovern Dining Hall. 16 Mon. – 20 Fri. – Celebrate International Education Week - Saint Joseph College will celebrate its Ninth Annual International Education Week (IEW) from November 16 - 20, 2009. IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that prepares Americans for global awareness, advocacy and action. The College's Office of International Studies and Programs will commemorate International Education Week on campus with a rich and stimulating week-long schedule of educational and cultural events. Highlights include: SJC Passport Day; Zumba fitness demonstration; Burma Action; presentations on South Africa, Ecuador, El Salvador, the war in Afghanistan; a panel on Human Trafficking; “Henna for Charity;” language luncheon (featuring Spanish and French cuisine); lectures on migration, world population, ecology/environmental action and much more. Dr. Lorrie Gardella, associate dean, School of Graduate and Professional Studies, will answer questions about the Saint Joseph College Weekend Program for Adult Learners. 18 Mon., FAFSA-THON - Saint Joseph College applicants and their families are encouraged to join us for this financial aid workshop. We know how confusing completing the FAFSA can be, and we want to ensure you are eligible for as much financial aid as possible. Complete the FAFSA with the assistance of  one of our Financial Aid counselors and have it sent to all your schools.
