Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1932 in the Catholic intellectual tradition.

Location: beautiful 84-acre campus only one mile from West Hartford’s thriving downtown; three miles from Hartford and mid-way between Boston and New York City.

 SJC is opening a new School of Pharmacy (2011); employment of pharmacists is expected to grow 22% between now and 2016.

SJC was ranked by The U.S. News & World Report in the Top Tier of Regional Colleges in the north in 2011.

Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) named Saint Joseph College as 2009 - 2010 Sportsmanship Award Winner.

Four of the last six students to win the prestigious Connecticut Chapter National Association of Social Workers Student of the Year award were SJC Social Work students
