Center for Academic Excellence
The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) provides Saint Joseph College students with tutoring to assist with writing papers in all disciplines. The CAE's online tutoring program attracts over 1,000 students annually, and its writing associates program connects writing experts with numerous courses in varied disciplines. Additionally, The CAE provides content tutoring for courses across the disciplines and offers Supplemental Instruction for select courses in the sciences.
The Center administers the College's writing portfolio program, runs a Grammar Hotline, and furnishes handouts on research documentation styles and other topics. It conducts periodic workshops on selected topics, and assists more than 1,500 students annually. Nearly 100% rate their experience as "excellent." The CAE also furnishes a multitude of resources for faculty and the general College community.
