Graduate and Professional Studies of Saint Joseph College is co-educational and serves the needs of adult men and women looking to further their careers through graduate education. The academic programs offered within Graduate and Professional Studies are designed for educators, scientists, home economists, dieticians, counselors, religious education directors, nurses, pastoral ministers, specialists who work with the elderly, and others desiring to begin or complete a course of advanced study. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Connecticut Board of Higher Education, the programs lead to a Master of Arts or a Master of Science degree.
Saint Joseph College offers Connecticut State Approved teacher licensure/certification programs in early childhood (birth-Kindergarten and Nursery-Grade 3), elementary, middle, secondary and special education. Our secondary programs include: English, French, Italian, Latin, Spanish, Social Studies/ History, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, General Science, and Family and Consumer Science. Continuing education and professional development courses are also available for in-service educators looking to renew their teaching or administrators licenses.
