One-on-One Advising
Your academic advisor will help you define your goals, plan a program of study, and schedule all the courses required for your degree. -
Personalized Support
Your professors will be accessible and available to help you, to answer questions, and to meet with you individually - on campus or online. You will find additional support from the Center for Academic Excellence, which provides individualized tutoring during evenings, weekends, and online. -
Career Coaching
Whether you are beginning, advancing, or changing your profession, the Career Development Center will help you assess your goals, prepare your resume, research opportunities, and manage your career. -
Transfer Credits
You may transfer up to 75 college credits from other recognized colleges and universities. You may also earn credits by standardized testing in college subjects through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) or through the American Council on Education (ACE) for military training.

The prior learning assessment program will allow you to earn college credits for the knowledge you have gained in your life and work:

- Enroll in PSYC 209 Career Development and Prior Learning (3 credits) and learn how to document your prior learning.
- Develop a portfolio that requests credits for documented prior learning.
- Earn up to 30 prior learning credits for a flat $250 fee.
Applying Is Easy
Saint Joseph College uses a rolling admissions process that allows us to make you an offer of admission shortly after your application is complete. We recommend applying by August 1 for admission in the fall; by December 1 for spring; and by April 1 for summer. Your application should include the following:

- The Weekend Program application ( apply online and we will waive the $50 application fee).
- Official copies of all college/post-secondary school transcripts.
- Official high school or GED transcript (may be required).
- Personal statement about your educational and professional goals (recommended, but not required).
Applicants should have 12 or more college credits. If you have fewer than 45 college credits you must have completed high school at least four years before applying to the Weekend Program (this time requirement is waived for veterans).
If you have fewer than 12 college credits, you may be admitted conditionally and you will need to complete:
- PSYC209 Career Development and Prior Learning (3 credits)
- ENGL205 Business and Professional Communication (3 credits)
- Six additional credits (through coursework or documented prior learning)
