Visa Information

Saint Joseph College is permitted by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to admit non-immigrant students. Upon admission to a degree program, the student is issued an I-20 A/B, which is used to pursue an F-1 student visa through the American Embassy or Consulate in the student's home country. This must be current at all times. Before an immigration form is issued, the following must be submitted to the College:

  1. A copy of the student's passport and current visa (if applicable).
  2. Declaration and certification of finances form with supporting documentation, certified by a bank official.
  3. I-20 request form, provided by Saint Joseph College.
  4. Any documentation required for additional, dependent visas.

Notification

  • Once the applicant has completed the application process, she/he will be notified of the admissions decision on a rolling basis.
  • The applicant will learn of the Committee's decision by a letter from the Director of Admissions. To indicate acceptance of the offer of admission, the applicant must complete the appropriate form and submit a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 USD. This deposit will be credited toward the first semester bill.
  • Please note that I-20 forms are issued to students following acceptance for full-time study and verification of sufficient funding.
  • International students will not qualify for an F-1 student visa if they are pursuing an online program.
