The weekend includes highlights such as the Friday reception, Saturday seminar, Homecoming lunch, and the Alumni Association brunch on Sunday morning. We encourage you to plan your class reunion activities, such as dinner on Saturday, early to supplement the college’s Homecoming offerings.

Let’s Get Together and Give Together!
When you make a gift during Homecoming for your reunion, it is more than just a tribute to your class; it's an investment in the future of the college and the next generation of Johnnies. This fall, join classmates in making a meaningful contribution towards the Program that will allow others to experience the college’s time-honored traditions.
Make your milestone donation and support your class’s collective efforts by visiting the Countdown to Homecoming: Reunion Giving page. Each class celebrating a quinquennial reunion will have a unique campaign. Watch as your class goal grows and compare your standing to other classes as Homecoming weekend approaches!
Homecoming Seminar
The Homecoming Seminar reading for 2025 is James Joyce’s “The Dead,” the final tale in Dubliners. The Homecoming seminar is an occasion for the alumni body to read and discuss a common text. This mirrors the Johnnie student experience of each class year reading the same assignment in multiple classrooms. We hope it will foster community spirit among alumni as you join each other throughout the weekend to compare notes on what was discussed in the other seminars. Each seminar will be comprised of alumni from one or multiple classes.
The Dean and the Instruction Committee have selected the seminar reading. James Joyce’s “The Dead” follows Gabriel Conroy in his interactions, thoughts, and shifting moods during the evening of January 6, 1904, when he and his wife Gretta attend an Epiphany party at Gabriel’s aunts’ house in Dublin. Ranging from politics and class tensions to the passion, tenderness, and disappointments of family and marital life, “The Dead” is a lyrical and melancholy meditation on the nature of human life.
