Mission Statement
In keeping with the integrity and values of a Catholic institution, the Office of Campus Ministry at Saint Joseph College promotes the spiritual growth of students, faculty, and staff of all faith traditions by providing an atmosphere where all members of the community can celebrate, explore, and act on their faith.
Saint Joseph College welcomes Kathleen Dorney, CND, as director of Campus Ministry. A member of the congregation of Notre Dame, Sister Kathleen was born and raised in New York where she attended Catholic schools. She graduated with a Math degree from Notre Dame College, and then went on to earn a master's degree in Math Education from Columbia University. After teaching high school, Sister Kathleen returned to school and earned a master's degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University.
"This degree prepared me for my career in campus ministry," she said. "I've been a campus minister on a variety of campuses including Yale University, Wheeling Jesuit College, a community college, and at private non-denominational institution. I find that each campus has its own gifts and challenges which add to the gifts I am able to bring with me. I look forward to continuing my ministry at Saint Joseph College and count on the prayers and good grace of those at the College to assist me."
Sister Kathleen's office is located on the second floor of McGovern Hall.
