Reunion Giving

Although milestone reunions are commemorated every year in September, learn how you can honor your St. John’s experience all year long.

What is Reunion Giving?

Reunion Giving is a year-long fundraising effort that takes place leading up to your reunion celebration. Reunion provides an excellent opportunity to support the college in a way that is personally meaningful to you. Your reunion gift will help current and future Johnnies experience the transformative power of the Program.

What counts as a Reunion Gift?

If you are celebrating a milestone reunion year and would like to participate in Reunion Giving, all you have to do is make a gift—of any amount, to any fund—before December 31, 2023.

Your gift will be counted in the class giving total, which is measured in two ways: total dollars contributed and class participation rate.

Give in honor of your class

Reunion Giving focuses on the power of collective giving. Each year more reunion celebrants give back, increasing the impact of a long legacy of Johnnies on the future of St. John’s College.

Give Your Reunion Gift
Support a Class Endowment Fund

Designate your gift to a specific Class Endowment Fund. The endowment provides St. John’s with a steady, dependable, and enduring stream of revenue. When it comes to ensuring our future, it doesn’t get more important than this.

Consider a Planned Gift

Provide for the future of St. John’s by remembering the college in your will or other estate plans, including gifts of property, life insurance policies, charitable trusts, gift annuities, and bequests. Our development team is ready to serve as your philanthropic advisors for planned gifts to the college.

Initiate a Reunion Giving Campaign

Reunion Giving Campaigns provide the opportunity for an entire class to honor their milestone year with a collective contribution to a single purpose. The class agrees on a purpose that is special to them (e.g., scholarship, campus improvement, student life), and makes a commitment to a specific fundraising or participation goal. Classes are encouraged to share their Reunion Giving Campaign on social media, and inspire their classmates to join!

Let us know you’re ready to start a Reunion Giving Campaign by contacting Kira Howard at kira.howard(at)sjc.edu.

Elisabeth Long, Class of 1986

“I learned that when you see something you value in the world, you need to nurture it, not just for yourself, but so others can benefit from it as well. The College changed me, and I want to be sure that many more students can have that same experience, long into the future.”
