“The world thinks of music as a fine art,” says Andy Kingston, a St. John’s College Santa Fe tutor and jazz pianist, “and we teach it as a liberal art.”
Brann was the longest-serving tutor in St. John’s history, a 2005 recipient of the National Humanities Medal, and a fixture at St. John's College for more than 60 years.
