Health Services in Santa Fe
The on-campus Student Health Office helps students achieve their optimal health and wellness while they are students at St. John’s. Primary care services are available to all currently enrolled students, and the clinic is open at various times during the week to accommodate student schedules. Health office visits are free of charge and same-day walk-in appointments are always available.
The Health Office cares for acute and chronic health conditions, and monitors and manages medications when needed. The Office works closely with a local psychiatrist and two on-campus psychotherapists to address mental and behavioral health issues.

Health Insurance Requirements and Information
United States Citizens
At St. John’s, students are required to provide proof of health insurance coverage to the Student Health Office. If students already have health insurance, they will need to submit policy information via the student health portal.
If students are not yet enrolled in a health insurance plan, they can find their own plan that best meets their needs or can elect to enroll via the New Mexico Health Exchange at bewellnm.com. In consultation with the college’s insurance broker, Tim Cummons, the college recommends enrolling in one of the plans administered by New Mexico Health Connections. In addition, St. John’s College Santa Fe has secured the services of InsureOneBenefits to assist students with a search of alternative health insurance plans. Once students have enrolled in an insurance plan, they will need to submit policy information via the student health portal.
International Students

All Students
The Student Health Office will see students for health care services under any insurance plan. Students must bring their insurance card each time they have an appointment with one of the health care providers. The Health Office does not collect co-pays or deductibles, so students will not incur out-of-pocket charges for a visit.
Students are responsible for understanding their insurance coverage for services provided at the Health Center as well as services provided off site.

The Student Health Office team provides care in a confidential and safe environment, and adheres to all HIPPA regulations concerning patient rights and protections. The Student Health Office follows state and federal guidelines for environmental safety.
