Winter Classics Tuition

Tuition for Winter Classics 2025 online is $850 per individual seminar.

Seminar Capacity

Online seminars are limited to 14 people. Seminars that are enrolled below 6 participants are subject to cancellation. Low enrollment cancellations afford a full refund to the participant.

Teacher Discount

St. John’s College offers a discount to full-time licensed K-12 teachers. With proof of current employment as an educator, participants receive a 50% discount on our regular tuition. Discounts are available to the first 15 eligible registrants. When applying online, please fill out the Educator Assistance fields when prompted during registration and provide the name and address of your place of employment and contact information of someone who is authorized to verify your employment. For additional questions about this discount, please contact classics(at)sjc.edu.

Minors

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must send a notification by email to classics(at)sjc.edu of their status as a minor at the time of registration.

Multiple-Seminar Participants

If you register for more than one seminar, texts are provided free of charge. Book distribution for multi-seminar registrants begins in mid-November 2024. Those who qualify will be contacted by email in advance to arrange for shipping. This complimentary service is available only if you register for multiple seminars before December 13, 2024. This deadline ensures that your books will arrive with enough time for you to read them before your first seminar, and also helps to account for unforeseeable shipping delays.

No-Fee Seminar Changes

No-fee seminar changes offer registrants flexibility. If for any reason you need or prefer to switch your seminar, you can transfer your enrollment to any other seminar with an open space, at no extra cost. Requests for a seminar change must be requested by email at classics(at)sjc.edu.

Cancellations

Cancellations can be made before December 18 with a 50% cash refund. After this date, no refunds or credits can be offered.

Waitlist

If a class is full, we will start a waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis but cannot guarantee that a seat will become available. To join a waitlist for a full seminar, submit your request online through the waitlist registration page.

If you are currently on a waitlist, you will be contacted and offered an open seat before the seminar is again available to new registrants online. You will be asked to respond in a specific number of days to claim the seat. If you decline or we do not hear from you by the requested date, the seat is then released to the general public.

Other Policies

The college reserves the right to make tutor substitutions if necessary; registrants will be notified of a tutor substitution.

The college reserves the right to cancel a seminar due to low enrollment.

Should a seminar need to be cancelled due to a natural disaster or similar event, participants will be notified by email, and every attempt will be made to reschedule.
